About Us
Saint Elizabeths’s Catholic General Hospital Cardiac Center Shisong was started on the 15th of November 1935 by the Tertiary Sisters of Saint Francis, Cameroon Province and grew with the coming of the training school for nurses, midwifes and laboratory technicians today know as Catholic School of Health Sciences (CSHS) Shisong that graduates every year well trained health personnel. The St. Elizabeth’s Catholic General Hospital Shisong is a renowned hospital in Cameroon because of its quality services offered to the population at large. The hospital currently runs a Cardio-surgical Centre inaugurated in 2009 by the Minister of Public Health – His Excellency André MAMA FOUDA, that is serving the whole of West and Central Africa.
Our Facility
Our hospital is a tertiary institution and holds a unique place in the delivery of health care not only to its district area but also the rest of the country with its tertiary referral services amidst other specialized services such as Gyneco-obstetrics, Urology, Cardiology, Cardiac surgeries, General surgeries, Diagnostic services (Laboratory Ultrasound / X-rays, TB unit / Expert Gene), Blood Bank, Dental Services Integrated Day Care Centre, Pediatric, Primary Health Care, Physiotherapy and Ophthalmological Services. Other welfare services such as the Heart Foundation, Orphanage, Chaplaincy, catering, technical and corporate services also complement the specialized services.
