We are excited to welcome you to our website, St. Elizabeth’s Catholic General Hospital and Cardiac Center Shisong (SECGH Shisong). The website is part of our commitment to helping patients and other members of the community, get to know the three facilities of the hospital complex; the General Hospital, Cardiac Centre and the Catholic School of Health Sciences Shisong.

Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic General Hospital Cardiac center: The hospital was started on the 15th of November 1935 by the Tertiary Sisters of Saint Francis, Cameroon Province and grew with the coming of the training school for nurses, midwifes and laboratory technicians today know as Catholic School of Health Sciences (CSHS) Shisong that graduates every year well trained health personnel. The St. Elizabeth’s Catholic General Hospital Shisong is a renowned hospital in Cameroon because of its quality services offered to the population at large. The hospital currently runs a Cardio-surgical Centre inaugurated in 2009 by the Minister of Public Health – His Excellency André MAMA FOUDA, that is serving the whole of West and Central Africa.
Shisong Hospital is part of the health care system of the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis within the remit of the Catholic Church in Cameroon, and operates in line with the National Health Policies

Out Patient Department (OPD)
Acomplete Consultation may require electrocardiogram (ECG), 2D Echocardiogram (with color doppler modalities) Effort test, Holter monitoring etc.
Hospitalization
Adults and children requiring closer and intensive medical follow-up are admitted in the wards.
Intensive Care Unit
The ICU gives full attention to patients, ensuring normal recovery
